How often does Global Syn-Turf recommend brushing or grooming their artificial turf for optimal appearance?
Dec 5, 2023 11:32 PM |
It all depends on how much traffic on the turf. Most of front yard or areas might not have much foot traffic or activities in such case you might not need brushing at all. Some back yards or areas with a lot of foot traffic or activities might need some brushing when the turf start to flatten, there is no set rules on how often you need to brush your turf. We do recommend to brush your turf on a warm or hot day so the fibers will sprint upward easily. How does your artificial grass handle pet odors and waste, and what is the recommended cleaning routine to maintain hygiene and odor control
Nov 7, 2023 12:53 AM |
Our artificial grass is permeable to discharge pets’ urine very efficiently, solid waste can be picked up the same way as you would on natural grass. To deal with pet odors, we recommend couple of options: use zeolite infill products which will neutralize smells or use our pet deodorizer spraying on the turf to eliminate odors. No routine maintenance really required, if you use zeolite infills, deodorant spray will become less necessary, in most cases, simply water down will sufficient. Looking for your recommendation's best way. My plan at this time is 2 or 3 underground drip watering loups below the canopy. Do you recommend this type of system and if so, where should it be located in the base layers? Thank you.

The understand dripping system is a great idea: you can have the pipe buried under the turf base with water pointing up into the base rack: water will travel upwards then spread down to minimize chances of “channels” being created to harm the integrity of ground/base support of turf. Please feel free to email us at [email protected] if you have any further questions, thank you.
In early 2022, we had the Superscape Max turf installed in our back yard. We notice a small section around the edge of the grass keeps "pooling" a small pile of sand (we think it's coming up from underneath the turf), and the turf looks to be "sinking" a little in the area (the area is about 4 inches by 4 inches). Do you know what is causing this? And, do you have suggestions for what we should do to fix this?

From what you are describing, I suspect the “shrinking” is due to some excessive heat which can be window or other object reflections or nearby heat sources like fence or pavements or objects being placed on the turf. Turf is like carpet which can be cut and patched, if you only have a 4”x4” area to be fixed and you still have any leftover turf from your original installation, you can cut the bad section out and patched with a new piece. To better assist you, we would like to see some pictures of your problem, you can email us at [email protected], thank you.

It is possible that infill sands to be either blown or washed away from time to time. Therefore we recommend to add more infills when it become low, there is no specific frequency requirements, it will be all depending on each individual case. Absolutely, people put furnitures on artificial grass surface all the time. Couple of reminders: once the turf being pressed down, there might be marks left which is just like you place furnitures on the carpet. Also, if you live in a very hot area, you will need to be careful NOT to have metal touching the grass as the metal can melt your turf. It will be very hard to tell without knowing the details. Critical numbers such as average daily hours of traffic, weather conditions, sunshine time, type of traffic are needed to make analysis and determinations of how long the artificial grass will last: if the turf is designed to last 20 years with an average of daily 2 hours traffics, theoretically it will last much less if twice traffic is given on the daily basis. So it will be helpful if you can let us know some detail data about the usage, weather conditions and traffic so we can provide more accurate feedback and make proper artificial grass recommendations.
