If your artificial grass installation has been done properly, the drainage holes won’t get clogged. For most landscape applications or replacing real grass lawns with artificial turf, we recommend to build sub base by having 2” to 2-1/2” of drain rocks and 1” to 1-1/2” of decomposed granite both compacted at 90% before laying turf on top of it. Such sub base will definitely eliminate the possibility of turf’s drainage holes being clogged.
